Test Technician
Reports to: Methods Engineering Manager
Job Description:
The role of Test Technician is to perform all testing on assemblies in the order delegated by Management or the Lead Test Technician to ensure delivery schedules are being met. Works closely with management to meet deadlines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Test Harness Maintenance
Identify when test harnesses need repair and perform necessary repairs.
Testing
Perform testing on assemblies.
Troubleshoot nonconforming assemblies to identify point of failure.
Perform and monitor special testing when required.
Read and decipher cable drawings and specifications when required to troubleshoot nonconforming assemblies.
All other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical assemblies.
Ability to read and comprehend cable drawings.
Self-motivated.
Ability to work well in a team environment.
Minimum of 1 year in electrical testing or relative field.
Basic knowledge of the following electrical principles:
Continuity
Resistance
AC/DC voltages
Capacitance
Hi-pot
Insulation resistance
Kelvin
Communication Skills:
Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
Working Conditions:
This job requires occasional weekend and evening hours.
Work performed is conducted in climate-controlled facility.
Exposure to moderate noise levels.
Exposed to areas that require PPE.
Frequently work on projects that require deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
This job requires standing and sitting for an extended period of time.
Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects.
Regularly see details of objects that are less than a few feet away.
Occasionally lift 5-30 pounds.

This is not a supervisory position.
